SCOPE
The purpose of the conference is to provide a discussion of novel approaches and advances connected with optical correlation techniques for measurements of random optical fields, and object diagnostics in diverse applications. Optical correlation techniques (including regular and polarization interferometry, interference/diffraction microscopy, specklometry, holographic correlometry, fractal optics, and measurement of optical chaos and optical currents) constitute promising and avalanche-like developed area of optical information technology. Such techniques serve for solving diverse applied problems ranging from industrial quality control to modern telecommunications and life sciences. There are no any conferences at present focused just at the optical correlation approaches (theoretical, computing and experimental). That is why this conference will be the unique possibility to highlight novel concepts and developments related to the optical correlation data processing and to discuss recent progress in applications of them. This conference continues the chain of international conferences on Correlation Optics (1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019; SPIE Proc. Vols. 2108, 2647, 3317, 3904, 4607, 5477, 6254, 7008, 7388, 8338, 9066, 9809, 10612 and 11369, respectively; see also the Applied Optics Feature Issues on Correlation Optics, Vol. 51, No 10 (2012), Vol. 53, No 10 (2014), Vol. 55, No 12 (2016) in Chernivtsi. Important novelty in comparison with previous conferences on Correlation Optics is merging it with the International Conference on Singular Optics (Optical Vortices) that early, since 1997, was traditionally held in Crimea. Therefore, singular optics is established as important separate topic of the conference, and the session on singular optics achieves special status of ‘the conference into conference’.
Topics to be covered:
- Singular optics
- Informative content of statistical optical fields, including optical chaos, polarization optics and coherence
- Optical correlation devices based on diffractive optical elements, including optical and digital holography, fractal optics, optical sensors
- Optical correlation diagnostics, interferometry and microscopy of rough surfaces and random media
- New applications of correlation optics in biology and medicine
- Advanced materials, nanomaterials and devices for optics and optoelectronics
